India’s IPO market staged a strong comeback in July and August 2026. In just two months, 33 companies raised ₹49,592 crore, which formed nearly 69% of total fundraising in the first eight months of the year. The revival was driven by strong investor confidence, liquidity, and large issues such as SBI Funds Management.

Between January and August, 60 IPOs together raised ₹72,165 crore. July alone saw 12 IPOs worth ₹28,648 crore, the highest monthly fundraising. August followed with 21 IPOs raising ₹20,944 crore, making it the busiest month by deal count.

The rebound was supported by positive market debuts, bullish secondary markets, and firms rushing to launch before approvals expired. Domestic investors showed strong appetite, adding momentum to the surge.

Looking ahead, 75 companies are waiting for SEBI approval with an estimated issue size of ₹2.02 lakh crore. Big names include Jio Platforms with ₹40,000 crore, NSE with ₹30,000 crore, Razorpay with ₹4,700 crore, and startups like Kuku FM and Cult.fit with ₹3,500 crore each.

This contrasts sharply with the dry spell earlier in 2026, when January to June saw only 27 deals worth ₹22,573 crore. May had no IPOs, while April managed just ₹1,076 crore. Analysts expect strong liquidity and quality issuers to keep India’s IPO market buzzing through the rest of the year.
