Today, three major price changes quietly slipped into everyday life, yet most people hardly noticed. These shifts may look small at first glance, but together they carry a heavy impact on household budgets and business costs across India.

First, petrol prices were raised by ₹2 per litre by HP and Indian Oil. While a couple of rupees may not sound alarming, the ripple effect is significant. Every commuter, delivery service, and transport company will feel the pinch, and this increase will eventually trickle down into the cost of goods and services.

Second, Zomato quietly increased its platform fee to ₹14.90 per order, up from ₹12.50 earlier. For frequent food delivery users, this adds up quickly. What looks like a minor adjustment is actually a 20% hike, making online food ordering noticeably more expensive over time.

Finally, industrial diesel prices jumped sharply, rising by more than ₹20 per litre after the petrol hike. This surge pushed diesel costs past ₹100 per litre. Since diesel fuels factories, trucks, and heavy machinery, this change will directly raise industrial and logistics expenses, which could soon reflect in higher prices for everyday essentials.

Together, these three unnoticed changes mark a quiet but powerful shift in India’s cost of living. They remind us how small adjustments in fuel and service charges can reshape the economy in ways that touch everyone’s daily life.
