Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, valued at $1.4 trillion, experienced a 2.1% loss in the third quarter. This loss, amounting to 374 billion Norwegian kroner ($34 billion), is attributed to a weaker three-month period compared to the first half of the year. Although the results outperformed the fund’s benchmark index by 0.17 percentage points, it marks the fund’s first quarterly loss in a year. The fund’s portfolio includes investments in over 9,200 companies across 70 countries, with a notable emphasis on equities, representing 70.6% of its investments at the end of the third quarter.
