Adani Group promoter entities carried out a major block deal worth ₹2,498 crore involving 86 lakh shares of Adani Enterprises. The transaction was executed between group companies and did not affect the overall promoter shareholding.
According to market data, Infinite Trade and Investment Limited, a promoter entity, sold 86 lakh shares representing 0.63 percent stake in Adani Enterprises. The shares were purchased by Adani Properties Private Limited and Adani Infra (India) Limited. After the deal, Infinite Trade’s holding in the company fell from 2.01% to 1.38%.
The shares were exchanged at an average price of ₹2,905 each. The deal was valued at ₹2,498.30 crore. Despite the large transaction, the promoter group’s overall stake in Adani Enterprises remained unchanged.
On the National Stock Exchange, Adani Enterprises stock reacted positively. It rose 0.57% and closed at ₹2,916.50. During the day, the stock touched an intraday high of ₹2,937.60 before settling slightly lower.
Market experts noted that block deals of this scale usually indicate internal restructuring among promoter entities rather than external investor activity. Such transactions often boost trading volumes and reflect confidence in the company’s long-term prospects.
