SIP Inflows Hit Record Rs 29,911 cr as Equity Funds Shine Bright

Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) inflows continued their strong momentum in November, rising for the eighth straight month to a record ₹29,911 crore, as per the latest AMFI data. This marks a 21% jump from ₹24,690 crore in October, though still 17% lower than ₹35,943 crore logged in November 2024.

Among equity fund categories, all but dividend yield and ELSS schemes witnessed positive flows. Flexi cap funds dominated with inflows of ₹8,135 crore, slightly lower than October’s ₹8,928 crore. Large & midcap funds followed with ₹4,503 crore, a robust 42% increase month-on-month. Midcap and smallcap categories also recorded healthy inflows of ₹4,486 crore and ₹4,406 crore, reflecting sustained investor appetite for growth-oriented funds.

Hybrid schemes showed mixed trends — equity savings saw inflows of ₹1,091 crore, while conservative hybrid funds posted outflows of ₹94 crore. Passive funds, including index funds and gold ETFs, saw total inflows dip 8% to ₹15,385 crore. Notably, other ETFs, including silver ETFs, garnered ₹9,720 crore, emerging as favourites among investors.

In total, mutual fund inflows eased 85% to ₹33,222 crore in November. Meanwhile, 24 new fund launches this year mobilised ₹3,126 crore, led by sectoral and thematic funds contributing ₹1,982 crore.
