Delhi is witnessing an extraordinary rush in its luxury hospitality sector as the city prepares to host the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam from 16 to 20 February. The demand for premium accommodation has skyrocketed, with some suites earlier priced at nearly ₹30 lakh per night. Despite such record-breaking tariffs, most top hotels are now completely sold out for the summit week.
A recent check on 12 February showed that at Taj Palace, New Delhi, only a limited category of suites was available, starting at around ₹3.5 lakh per night, while all other rooms were fully booked. At The Oberoi, New Delhi, no rooms were available at all for the peak dates of 18–19 February.
This surge reflects the scale of the event, which is expected to draw global technology leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators. The sharp rise in hotel tariffs highlights Delhi’s growing importance as a hub for international conferences and high-profile gatherings.
Industry experts note that such events not only boost short-term occupancy but also strengthen Delhi’s image as a global destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE). For visitors, however, finding accommodation during summit week has become nearly impossible, even at premium rates.
