Anthropic, a leading artificial intelligence company, has filed for its Wall Street listing and could touch a valuation of nearly $1.5 trillion. This debut may make its seven co‑founders among the richest in Silicon Valley, with combined holdings worth close to $200 billion.
Chief Compute Officer Tom Brown owns about 244 million shares, which could be valued near $24 billion. Chief Executive Dario Amodei holds 240.6 million shares and also controls voting rights over millions more. Other co‑founders Christopher Olah, Jared Kaplan, Jack Clark, Daniela Amodei and Sam McCandlish each hold more than 230 million shares.
Despite dilution, the founders will retain control through a special Class F share that guarantees 50.1% voting power. In a rare move, each founder has pledged to donate 80% of their equity to charity, setting a strong philanthropic example in the technology industry.
Major investors Amazon and Google are also expected to benefit. Both companies will own more than 5% each after the listing, potentially earning over $75 billion. Google earlier held a 14% stake, while Amazon has steadily increased its investment.
Anthropic’s listing highlights the rising influence of artificial intelligence firms and shows how quickly wealth and power are shifting in the technology sector.
