Shapoorji Pallonji Group Chairman has welcomed the Reserve Bank of India’s decision regarding the proposed listing of Tata Sons, calling it an important step towards greater clarity.

The chairman said the RBI’s decision should not become a reason for differences among stakeholders. Instead, he urged all parties to approach the matter with maturity, goodwill and a shared focus on building the future together.

He also reiterated that the public listing of Tata Sons should not be viewed only as a financial or regulatory requirement. According to him, it is also a social and moral responsibility that deserves careful consideration.

The SP Group said it looks forward to working closely and constructively with Tata Sons as the process moves ahead. The group believes cooperation between all stakeholders will be important for a smooth way forward.

The chairman also described the RBI’s decision as a potential landmark in the development of corporate governance in India. He said the clarity provided by the central bank could help shape the future approach towards large corporate groups and their regulatory responsibilities.

He further expressed deep respect for the RBI and the government for maintaining the regulatory framework and providing clarity on the matter.

The comments come as stakeholders continue to assess the implications of the RBI’s decision and the possible future pathway for Tata Sons.
