India’s telecom market showed stronger growth in July with net subscription additions reaching 55.4 lakh compared to 53.8 lakh in June. The overall increase reflects steady demand for mobile services across the country.

Reliance Jio added 24.5 lakh subscribers, rising from 21.5 lakh in June. This highlights Jio’s consistent momentum and its ability to attract new users. Bharti Airtel contributed 26.9 lakh, slightly lower than June’s 30 lakh, but still a major driver of growth.

Vodafone Idea improved with 2.40 lakh additions against 1.64 lakh in June. BSNL recorded 1.69 lakh, a sharp increase from 94,006 in June. These figures show smaller players making efforts to regain ground, though their scale remains limited compared to the leaders.

The numbers underline the dominance of Jio and Airtel, who continue to lead India’s telecom expansion. Vodafone Idea and BSNL showed signs of revival, but private operators remain the main force behind subscriber growth.

Overall, July’s data highlights healthy expansion in India’s telecom base. The market continues to consolidate around Jio and Airtel, reinforcing their leadership in subscriber growth while public sector players improve performance.
