Piramal Finance to raise ₹2,100 crore through QIP

Piramal Finance has launched a qualified institutions placement worth ₹2,100 crore at a floor price of ₹2,102.65 per share. The issue opened on 24 August 2026 and aims to strengthen lending capital and meet capital adequacy requirements. The company also approved warrants worth ₹1,750 crore for its promoter Nithyam Realty Private Limited. These warrants have a face value of ₹2 each and an issue price of ₹2,110 per warrant. Payment terms require 25% upfront and the balance on conversion within 18 months. This reflects the company’s aggressive expansion strategy supported by strong financial performance.

In the first quarter of FY27, Piramal Finance reported a profit after tax of ₹461 crore, marking a 67% year on year rise. Assets under management stood at ₹1,06,940 crore, showing 25% growth. Retail disbursements reached ₹12,527 crore, up 44% year on year. The company expanded its branch network to 780 branches across 607 cities and increased its customer base to 60 lakh, a 24% rise.

The stock has gained 33% year to date compared to a 9% fall in Sensex. It touched a 52 week high of ₹2,220 in July 2026 and a low of ₹1,235.15 in November 2025. Recent trading showed volatility between ₹2,194.10 and ₹2,160.70.
