Equity mutual fund inflows slowed in July 2026, falling 15% to ₹24,697 crore from ₹28,973 crore in June. Large-cap funds recorded their first outflow in nearly three years at ₹1,322 crore. Small-cap funds attracted ₹7,768 crore, while mid-cap funds added ₹6,192 crore. Flexi-cap inflows eased to ₹4,709 crore. Focused funds slipped to ₹642 crore. Large and mid-cap funds saw inflows of ₹3,425 crore. Sectoral funds gained ₹1,328 crore, while ELSS outflows widened to ₹959 crore. Value and contra funds turned negative with ₹145 crore outflow.
Industry assets under management rose 2.7% to ₹38.36 lakh crore. Overall mutual fund inflows stood at ₹2.36 lakh crore, reversing June’s outflow. Debt funds rebounded strongly with ₹1.87 lakh crore inflows, led by liquid funds at ₹1.19 lakh crore. Gold ETFs slowed to ₹1,559 crore inflows from ₹3,443 crore. Total industry AUM climbed to ₹85.76 lakh crore in July from ₹82.22 lakh crore in June, showing resilience despite equity inflow moderation.
