After months of slowdown, equity mutual funds bounced back in June 2025 with a strong 24% rise in net inflows, reaching ₹23,568 crore. This marks a sharp recovery from May’s ₹18,994 crore, showing renewed investor confidence.

Among the 11 equity fund categories, all except ELSS (Equity Linked Savings Schemes) saw positive inflows. Flexi Cap Funds led the pack, attracting ₹5,733 crore, followed by Small Cap Funds with ₹4,024 crore and Mid Cap Funds with ₹3,754 crore. These numbers reflect growing interest in diversified and growth-oriented investments.

On the flip side, ELSS funds continued to see outflows for the third straight month, with ₹556 crore withdrawn. Debt mutual funds also struggled, posting net outflows of ₹1,711 crore, though this was an improvement over May’s ₹15,908 crore.

Hybrid funds gained traction, pulling in ₹23,222 crore, with Arbitrage Funds leading at ₹15,584 crore. Gold ETFs stood out among passive funds, recording a massive 613% jump in inflows to ₹2,080 crore.

Overall, total mutual fund inflows surged to ₹49,301 crore in June, up 67% from May. The industry’s total assets under management rose to ₹74.14 lakh crore, showing strong market momentum and renewed investor optimism.
